David is an exciting blend of knowledge, skills, experience and passion in what he does; who has developed a reputation of unapologetically expecting and delivering at the highest level of professionalism and business ethics in all his engagements.
David encountered the field of Executive Coaching in 2009 and not only instantly connected with it emotionally but also realized that coaching was, for him, as natural as play. He immediately trained and got certification with UK’s Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) and is now a global member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) as well as a member of the Kenya ICF Chapter.
David is a seasoned banker and experienced leader who enjoyed a fulfilling career in the banking industry for over 28 years; serving in various senior leadership positions with multinational and regional banks in East Africa. During his last 9 years in the corporate world, he served as an in-house coach and mentor within the banks he worked for. So fulfilling was the experience that he recently made the decision to follow his passion and immerse himself fully into the world of coaching, mentoring and leadership development on a full time basis. His last position in the corporate world was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Family Bank Limited in Kenya.
David holds a Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Liverpool, UK and is actively engaged in Action Research in the field of leadership and management science. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi, Bachelor of Education (BEd) from Kenyatta University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Marketing Institute of Singapore.
David is now a full time Coach, Mentor and Business Consultant who specializes in facilitating personal and team effectiveness, organizational transformation and culture change. He is passionate about professionalizing leadership capability as the potent catalyst for full realization of the great African Potential.
David enjoys writing, reading, listening to and telling impactful stories.
