Amma Korantema Ansah

Amma is an inspiring Human Resource Professional with seventeen years of experience within the financial services sector in Ghana. She has proven success in leading teams to build, sustain and transform both multinational and domestic businesses—an excellent facilitator with demonstrated experience in working with cross-cultural employees. Amma is an astute learner known for building trust and managing relationships to achieve results in support of organizational goals and objectives. She is very passionate about people management and development with the aim of impacting the lives of others positively for growth.

Amma, was the General Manager of Human Resources, for Enterprise Group, the holding company of five subsidiaries for eight and a half years. There, she strategically developed and executed the human capital agenda and enhanced leadership capabilities for the business’s growth and competitive survival.

She worked with Standard Chartered Bank in Ghana, where she held senior management roles in Human Resources and also served as a certified Gallup StrengthFinder Coach, assisting employees in discovering themselves and facilitating team interventions. Her astute and excellent performance led her to be the Acting Head of Human Resources in the same Bank for a period. 

In 2010, she worked with the Agricultural Development Bank, responsible for Performance Management and Rewards and spearheaded the development and roll-out of a performance management system. 

She also had the experience of working with the International Labour Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland and on the Infocus Programme on Strengthening Social Dialogue, which was an aspect of the “decent work” agenda.

She has been a resource person and facilitator for several training programmes that seek to develop students to prepare them for the world of work and mentors and coaches them.

Amma holds an MSc in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) in the UK; a certificate in European Human Resources from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana.

Amma is married and blessed with four children, including a set of twin girls. Her hobbies are cooking, reading and working with children.
